Striker looked to Jace uneasily, “how’s it going?” His catlike eyes shifted to Michael curiously, “are you all right?” when he looked to the woman his brow raised skeptically, “wait you’re helping a vampire, why?”

Victoria’s arms crossed over her chest and quirked a brow at his question, “this vampire happens to be your mother, and yes he’s helping me.” It was hard not to take it personally but she had to remind herself that the kid was likely confused, “are you okay son?” She pointedly shot a look at Jace.

Jace’s gaze flickered back and forth between Victoria and Striker before eventually settling upon the halfling. “It’s, uhm, good to see you again, kid,” he gave a half-smile, “I just, uh, ran into your mother and Mikey over here and just decided to tag along; but, I can go if you want me to. It’s no big deal really.” Jace caught himself babbling and chose to simply shut up before he made himself look like even more of a fool.

Michael silently watched the awkward events unfold and decided to interject before past hurt feelings were unleashed. This encounter to devolve into an overly emotional catastrophe was not what he needed at this moment. “I’m fine,” Michael answered the question that Striker posed to him and glanced upwards to catch his eye, “And I’m helping her not just because she’s your mother but also a friend.” He gestured for him to come closer and to feel more included in the group as opposed to being stared at by numerous pairs of eyes all at once.

Striker went to sit next to Michael keeping his distance from Victoria, “hey Jace, um- I was thinking maybe we could do something again sometime if you’re interested?” He still wanted to be friends with him, it was just awkward after what happened.

The Doctor had been quiet as he watched what was going on; but when he learned that Striker was Victoria’s son, he noted the angelic runes and wondered if she and Michael had a kid. “Vampire’s can’t have children, so how are you her son?”

Striker glanced at the man with confusion and shrugged, “they said I was created through some device.”

"You and Michael had a kid?" Asked the Doctor upon glancing between Victoria and Michael quizzically.

Striker looked back at the Doctor momentarily oblivious to what he meant, then pieced it together. “O-oh.” His focus averted from the stranger and jumped to his feet backing away from Michael, “how could you sleep with her, she’s not even alive!”

Darcy Lewis - [3/10 scenes] "Oh, my God! This is going on Facebook. Smile!"

I know this neighborhood. I got beat up in that alley. And that parking lot. And behind that diner.

Victoria made herself comfortable near Michael and watched Nuada, “the metal is different from what I’ve encountered.”

She looked back when she heard footsteps seeing Striker standing there confused. “Striker.” Victoria was at a loss for words seeing her son and stood carefully, “what are you doing here?”

The mere sight of his past fling resulted in Jace becoming deathly quiet and shifting on his feet awkwardly. He was at a complete loss for words which was a rarity for him. The cocky Shadow Hunter that had annoyed the others wasn’t present at this moment. In it’s place, an ashamed young man stood. Jace did feel incredibly guilty for hurting Striker in the way that he did and just didn’t know how to make it right between them.

The awkward silence was quickly broken when Michael let out a low hiss at a sudden jolt of electricity coursing through him at Nuada’s investigatory touch.

Nuada drummed his fingers against his thigh as he lost himself deep in thought. He had to devise a plan on how to properly look at this device without activating it’s warning system when it sensed that it was being tampered with. “He’s staying with me,” Nuada answered, half paying attention to what was occurring outside of Michael’s wristband.

Striker looked to Jace uneasily, “how’s it going?” His catlike eyes shifted to Michael curiously, “are you all right?” when he looked to the woman his brow raised skeptically, “wait you’re helping a vampire, why?”

He replied to my tweet! This is the first time anyone of reputation has replied to anything I’ve sent, I’m so happy!

"Michael this is Prince Nuada, he’s an old friend of mine." She smiled to her friend and approached, being mindful of the wristband. "This is Michael, he’s an archangel who came through the rift a while back."

"I was hoping you could remove this device on his wrist, one of his kind came through wearing it and it got stuck on his arm. Apparently it’s used to control angels— make them obedient to humans." Victoria tried to keep it simple and to the point, if Michael wanted to elaborate further then it was his choice.

She looked back to Jace chillingly, “and stop making jokes about him being my pet, it’s not funny. You and I are going to have a long talk later.”

Jace raised his hands defensively and took a half-step backwards. He was only trying to make light of the situation with a bit of humor; but, he took the hint to back off. “Alright. I won’t say a word about it. My lips are sealed.” At least, they were where Michael’s force servitude was concerned.

Prince Nuada wasn’t surprised by Jace’s tongue and simply ignored the Shadow Hunter’s presence; instead, he stepped in front of Michael and respectfully inclined his head. It was an unusual experience to meet a being who the humans still worshiped.

"Come," Nuada gestured down the dark corridors to guide them further into his underground home. They walked through the halls until they reached the main chamber that the elf inhabited. "Sit down and we’ll take a look to see what I can do. No one should be subjected to the will of a human."

Nuada took Michael’s hand and inspected the device closely, not daring to touch it as of yet. “What does it do to make you bend to your owner’s commands? Is it a form of mind control or are the consequences dire enough to compel you to carry out the actions?”

"Both," Michael admitted after a moment. He was, without question, compelled to do whatever Victoria commanded of him; however, he simultaneously maintained a smidgen of free will albeit at the cost of being electrocuted for disobedience.

Nuada hummed thoughtfully before turning his attention to the others. “Might as well make yourselves comfortable. This may take a while if there is a possibility of my removing this for him.”
